About this policy

This policy covers the Oritone website at oritone.co. It explains what we collect when you visit the site, subscribe to updates or send us a message, and what we do with it.

Oritone is in an early, pre-launch phase. We do not yet offer an app or an online service, and we do not collect, receive or store patient treatment data or clinical records through this website.

What we collect

If you subscribe to updates: your email address.

If you send us a message: your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), the category you select, and whatever you write in the message.

If you simply browse: standard website analytics, such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through cookies only if you accept them in the banner when you arrive. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time.

Please don't send us detailed health information through the contact form. If you do, we treat it confidentially and use it only to reply to you.

Why we use it

• To send you the updates you asked for
• To answer your enquiry or send you the clinical whitepaper if you requested it
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it

We don't use your information for anything else, and we never sell it.

What we don't do

• We don't receive patient information from clinics or clinicians
• We don't hold treatment, audiology or medical records
• We don't create patient profiles or use automated decision-making
• We don't share your details with advertisers

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the website: our website and form platform, our analytics and consent tools, and our email provider. They process information on our behalf, and some store it on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We only use providers that commit to protecting it.

How long we keep it

Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.

Your choices

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — just get in touch and we'll action it.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll try to resolve it. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

As Oritone grows — particularly once the patient app launches — this policy will change. We'll update the date at the top whenever it does.
